Bay County International Airport Ahead of Schedule

Bay County International Airport Construction UpdateBay County International Airport Construction UpdateConstruction on the new Bay County International Airport has been rapidly increasing over the past several weeks. This was further confirmed by WMBB News Channel 13 this morning with news that it’s actually three months ahead of schedule.

Bree Sison, a reporter for WMBB News Channel 13, reports that there are still two pending challenges against the airport; however, they don’t expect them to halt any progress made on the site. The Airport Authority says that the main access road off Highway 388 (see pictures below) will be completed by June and the 8,400 foot runway will be paved by Fall.
