Panama City / Bay County International Airport Construction Underway

Even though two new groups of environmentalist are seeking to stop construction on the new Panama City / Bay County International Airport, crews are on-site clearing the land for one of the most promising and high-tech airports the United States has ever seen in the last 20 years.

Since our office manager Troy drives to and from work everyday through Highway 388, he gets to see what’s taking place and how much progress the new airport is making. Before last week, he has seen only one or two construction trucks entering and leaving the site, but now he is seeing more than 5 times that amount.

Late last evening, Troy noticed they had cleared an area off of Highway 388 which looks like the main highway leading to the terminal. Here is a picture he took this morning:

Everyone is excited to see this idea now blossoming into a fully fledged reality. We have also found a wonderful video show casing a “behind the scenes” footage of the new airport site.
